POZO ALCON

Pozo Alcón is a lively market town on the edge of the Sierra de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas Natural Park, combining everyday convenience with striking natural surroundings. With roots stretching back to Roman and Moorish times, it has long served as an important local hub for the surrounding countryside. 

It is the closest town to the hotel and the go-to place for essentials, with supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, cafés and restaurants all in one place.
 

Just beyond the town lies the impressive Embalse de la Bolera, a dramatic turquoise reservoir set among mountains and pine forests, ideal for walking, photography and quiet picnics. Nearby, the unique Bosque Encantado de Higueras offers a gentle and atmospheric walk through ancient fig trees alongside water channels, particularly beautiful in spring and autumn.

CASTRIL

Castril is a charming mountain village in Granada, rich in history and surrounded by dramatic natural beauty. Once a Roman outpost and later a Moorish fortress, its strategic location made it a site of historical importance. Today, one of its highlights is the suspended wooden walkway along the Castril River, known as the “Sendero de la Cerrada.” This scenic trail winds through a narrow gorge with a suspension bridge and a tunnel carved into the rock, offering stunning views of the river below. Castril is a perfect day trip from the hotel, just 30 minutes away by car.
